Special Delivery

Today was a big day for E - he had his two-year doctor check-up followed by a trip over to the SPCA to deliver some cheer to his furry pals!

He did a great job at the doc's office - strutted over to the scale in socks, diaper and his ball hat. Mama wishes she'd taken a better pic, because it definitely was an amusing sight! The doc was also amused by his appetite for DumDums ... he polished off four lollipops - yes, four - mango, sour apple, orange and watermelon. The treat became a sticky mess all over his chin and chest and arms - but he was all smiles even with the shots (after a brief cry). Of course, the whole lollipop-candy thing isn't something we allow on a regular basis - but we are believers of everything in moderation. Well, four kinda surpasses our idea of 'moderation' ... but honestly, totally amusing!

After busting out of the doc's office (and being pretty juiced-up on sugar), the entire fam headed on over to the animal shelter. When we arrived, we headed on up to the lobby and grabbed a couple of the bags of gift donations with us. We were welcomed by two volunteers who were REALLY excited to see E and the bags/gift cards he brought. We then asked if we could borrow a cart to bring in a few more items! When E returned pushing the cart (well, he had a bit of help), they couldn't contain their excitement and gratitude!! This brought a huge smile to all our faces (Navi included)! It felt wonderful to do something special for those that needed it - and although E may not completely understand what his gesture meant - we hope one day he will and that he will continue to show his kindness and generosity to those in need. It's truly something we want to instill in our boys!

The donations and gifts from all of YOU made this possible -- the grocery bags were jam packed and filled the entire trunk of our vehicle!!
E carting the goods into the lobby of the SPCA!
After the drop-off, E went to spend some time with his pals - here he gives a window kiss to a pup named Einstein. We were completely in love with this big boy who was very curious of his little visitor!

We visited with the dogs and the cats - but this is just a pic of the dog wing!
