Moving Day Surprises

After almost 9 months of wishing and hoping (and a little bit of house closing drama on account of the builder and county), our new home was ready for us to move in (well, two weeks overdue and after we started seriously considering other already existing possibilities!) - but we were moving!!

The day marked a significant milestone for us as a family and came with a totally unexpected surprise. The Grandies arrived bright and early ready to help us with the move and the movers were expected to arrive between 8 and 9 am. We sat patiently waiting their arrival. Not long after 8am, there was a loud knock at the door. Strangely, Daddy, who was standing right by the door, asked Mommy (stationed as far away from the door as possible) to go answer the door.

No sooner had she opened the door than she exclaimed 'OMG, seriously!' - On the other side of the door stood Uncle Sunil and Auntie Helena with badges that read 'MoDa Movers.' Mommy could not believe her eyes! E ran to the door and was greeted with big hugs from his Aunt and Uncle who traveled all the way from Canada for the big day. It was one of the best surprises of Mommy's life -- everyone had been in on it!!

The day progressed rather rapidly. Everyone helped pack up the remainder of items at the apartment and the Grandies headed to the new place with E and Navi in tow. The movers started loading up the van with all the things we had packed away in our storage units. By lunch we were heading down with the first load of items and by 6pm everything was at the new place.

We feel extremely blessed to be finally HOME - and be able to share it with our dear families!
