USA vs. Canada

Today, our family was torn in rooting interest for the huge USA vs. Canada gold medal hockey game. Both Mom and Dad tried to sway Eashan to our side by teaching him the appropriate cheers. Dad was able to get E to give a fist pump as he chanted " uh - ah - ay!" That was as close as we could get to "U - S - A" but the fist pump was great! Mom worked on a clapping cheer that went like this: "oh - na - da!" Translated - "Go Canada!"

Needless to say, Eashan wasn't quite sure which way to go as the intense game went into overtime. Dad swears he saw him cheer on the game tying goal at the end of the third period. It may have had something to do with Dad leaping off the coach and dancing around the room chanting "U - S - A" and pointing at Mom.

Canada came through in overtime and won the gold to the delight of Mom and the rest of Canada. Eashan seemed to just enjoy the moment regardless of how it turned out...
